Troubleshooting
Find the next action for the situation you see.
Four things to check first
- Find the installed version in Settings › About.
- Check whether the problem occurs on My PC or in isolation.
- Check the current account’s sign-in and usage, and the agent’s installation status.
- Record the last error shown and the action immediately before the problem.
The app window does not open
On Windows, check “Open orke” in the tray menu. On Mac, try launching the app again. “desktop companion unavailable” means the desktop component could not start. Share the installed version and error message when asking for help.
The AI does not start
Check whether its CLI runs in a regular terminal. A missing command points to installation or PATH, a sign-in request to the account, and a usage limit to usage. Results from a different environment do not describe the same state.
The terminal is missing or will not accept input
Check the task list to see whether the session is alive, then reopen it. If the AI is waiting for input or approval, read the request in that terminal. If the end result is unclear, check termination again.
A package has stopped
Check the current step and run history to see whether it is waiting for a retry or a decision. Before running again, first check whether any results have already been applied externally. See the Packages troubleshooting table.
support does not return an answer
Test the AI in the Test tab first. For actual platform requests, check whether questions are enabled, the API listener status, the address, and the key. If MCP is needed, check its connection test and the server’s authentication. The support guide explains how to handle each situation.
Another device cannot connect
First check that the PC is running, its network is available, and remote access is ready. Check the current HTTPS IP-and-port address, that you are using the same Google account, certificate validity, router port forwarding, and firewall rules. Direct access may not work on CGNAT or corporate networks. The support API address and the workspace’s HTTPS IP-and-port address are different.
What to include when asking for help
- orke version and OS version
- The AI and execution environment used
- What you did and what you expected
- The actual result and error message
