Open product page →A DMG for Apple Silicon with macOS 26 or later is distributed through GitHub Releases. Open the DMG and drag orke.app to Applications. See the release notes for detailed installation and update instructions.
Download for macOS View release history →01Startup and windows
I launched the App, but no window appeared.
orke opens a dedicated desktop window. On Windows, click “Open orke” on the tray icon. On macOS, try launching orke again.
“desktop companion unavailable” means the desktop component could not be started. In that case, a fallback opens the workspace in your default browser. Please report your installed orke version and the error message.
The App keeps running after I close the window.
The × on the desktop window hides the workspace and keeps running terminals alive. To exit completely on Windows, click “Exit” on the tray icon. Exiting orke also ends session processes.
Closing a web window or web tab in the workspace closes that page. This behaves differently from closing a terminal window.
My windows disappeared after refreshing.
Refreshing recreates the workspace connection and window layout. You can reopen live terminals from the session list or Dock chips, and their remaining output returns. Reloading web pages may lose forms you were filling in and scroll positions.
02Notifications
Windows notifications are not arriving.
The “Notification status” line in Settings > Notifications explains why. There are four common causes.
- Windows App Runtime 2.4 is missing — Download the Windows x64 installer and install it. It is not needed on macOS.
- Running as administrator — Notifications cannot be shown when elevated. Run with normal privileges.
- The App is in the foreground — When the window is visible, an in-app toast appears instead of a Windows notification.
- Windows Do not disturb mode — orke does not bypass notification blocking.
I want to pause notifications.
Choose Pause for 20 minutes in the Windows tray menu. Events during that period are not replayed. To turn notifications off completely, turn off the first switch in Settings > Notifications.
03Isolated environment and accounts
The isolated environment says “Not ready.”
A Docker-compatible engine must be running and able to download the isolated image used by this orke (ghcr.io/bomtobe-hgkim/orke-env). The image is public and can be downloaded without signing in. Click “Check again” in Settings > Execution environment. The first isolated session creates the container.
How do I sign in inside the isolated environment?
Isolated accounts are separate from My PC accounts and are stored in the isolated volume. Install the CLI in an isolated terminal before adding an account. In Settings > Accounts, set the scope to “Isolated environment” and add the account.
- ChatGPT — Uses device code sign-in. Enable device code sign-in in ChatGPT’s security settings.
- Claude — Paste the authentication code into the terminal. Press Enter even if the code does not appear on screen.
The chip says “Sign-in required” or is missing.
Chips query remaining usage using the installed CLI’s credentials (by running the installed agy for Antigravity). Sign in to that CLI first. ORKE_DISABLE_USAGE_PROBE=1 hides the chips when set.
Claude Code and Codex are missing from the isolated environment.
The isolated environment does not come with agents preinstalled. When you select an agent in a new session, orke checks whether it is installed. If it is missing, orke shows the install command and “Install in terminal.” Review the command entered in the terminal and press Enter.
- Claude Code —
curl -fsSL https://claude.ai/install.sh | bash - Codex —
curl -fsSL https://chatgpt.com/codex/install.sh | sh - OpenCode —
curl -fsSL https://opencode.ai/install | bash - Hermes —
curl -fsSL https://hermes-agent.nousresearch.com/install.sh | bash - Antigravity —
curl -fsSL https://antigravity.google/cli/install.sh | bash
Software installed in the home directory (/home/orke) remains after replacing the image.
Can the isolated environment connect to servers on this PC?
Yes. The isolated environment does not block the network. Inside the container, use host.docker.internal to connect to localhost services on this PC, such as development servers. Isolation blocks direct access to files on this PC. If a localhost service exposes files or command execution, programs can reach this PC through that service.
I want to delete old isolated images.
orke does not delete the old image when you replace it. docker image ls ghcr.io/bomtobe-hgkim/orke-env lists the tags; delete those you no longer use. For example: docker image rm ghcr.io/bomtobe-hgkim/orke-env:<unused-tag>. docker image prune does not delete tagged images, and docker image prune -a also deletes other images, so it is not recommended.
Build tools, Playwright dependencies, and CJK fonts are missing from the isolated environment.
The isolated image does not include these. In an isolated terminal, run sudo apt-get update followed by sudo apt-get install to install them (for example, build-essential, fonts-noto-cjk; for Playwright, npx playwright install --with-deps). Install the libraries needed by Hermes browser tools with npx playwright install-deps chromium. Software installed in /usr is lost when you replace the image; reinstall it afterward.
Does the isolated environment work on Apple Silicon Macs?
The isolated image is available only for linux/amd64, so it runs under emulation on Apple Silicon. This has not been verified.
04Using the terminal
Copy and paste behave differently.
On Windows, Ctrl+C copies only when text is selected. Without a selection, it sends an interrupt: the first press only shows a hint, and the second and subsequent presses within 2 seconds send it. To always copy, use Ctrl+Shift+C; paste with Ctrl+V or Ctrl+Shift+V . On macOS, use ⌘+C to copy a selection and ⌘+V to paste. On Mac, Ctrl+C sends an interrupt regardless of selection, using the same two-press rule.
A session stays at “Exit status needs checking.”
Termination started, but the result could not be confirmed. orke keeps the session and counts it as active. Click “Check exit status again” in the session hub to retry the same termination.
Does it work on macOS or Linux?
Install Windows builds from Microsoft Store, and Apple Silicon builds for macOS 26 or later from a DMG file. Open the DMG and drag orke.app to Applications. Installation and update instructions are in the release notes.
On a Linux server (Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, x86_64), install with this one-line terminal command: curl -fsSL https://orke.bomtobe.com/install.sh | bash . Use it from a browser or the Android app. Web windows run on a virtual display even on a headless server. Requirements and steps are in the Linux installation guide.
The Windows tray and Windows notifications are not available on macOS.
05Data and removal
What remains after uninstalling the App?
The settings folder ~/.orke and the isolated volume orke-home remain. Within the selected settings folder, web profiles are stored in desktop/shell, and browsing history in browser.
Exit orke, save any work files you need, and then delete the folder yourself. If you used the isolated environment, make sure no container is using the volume and run docker volume rm orke-home. If you accessed orke from another browser, you can also delete that browser’s history and cookies separately. For details, see the Privacy Policy.
06Keyboard shortcuts
On macOS, open a new session with Ctrl+T and clear the screen with Ctrl+K. The copy and paste table below is for Windows; on Mac, use ⌘+C·⌘+V.

Can I select an element on a web page and give an agent instructions?
Open element instructions in a web window, choose the target, and write your request. Check the destination terminal or agent and send it to the same workspace. You can also use screenshots. Standard web windows and element instructions do not require a decision model key.
What are decision models (Jev and Microsoft Decision-1), and do I need to enable one?
A decision model is an optional feature that continues web actions delegated by your selected agent on the same page. In Settings > Browser, enable web action acceleration, choose Jev (TypeSafe API key) or Microsoft Decision-1 (Azure address, deployment name, and API key) as the decision model, and save. It is off by default. When used, page information, task goals, and input values are sent to the selected model’s company (TypeSafe or Microsoft Azure).
If a key is missing or an API or quota issue makes the model unavailable, progress is returned to the agent so it can continue acting directly. If the model is uncertain about the next action, it also returns control to the agent without clicking. The selected model company’s terms and pricing apply.
Does orke also manage website sign-ins?
Sign in directly on each service’s own screen. Cookies and sign-in state in orke web windows are stored in the selected web profile and are not automatically shared with regular Chrome. Agent account settings and website sign-ins are separate.
09Agents and packages
Which agents can I use?
For Claude Code, ChatGPT (Codex), OpenCode, Hermes, and Antigravity, prepare the CLI you want to use and that service’s sign-in or API settings. OpenCode, Hermes, and Antigravity manage authentication in their respective CLIs. Antigravity (agy) asks you to sign in if you open a session while signed out. In an isolated terminal, open the displayed address in a browser, sign in, and paste the code you receive into agy. Regular terminals can be used without an AI account.
Do I need to install a separate CLI for NVIDIA?
NVIDIA uses the agent bundled with orke. Save your NVIDIA API key in Settings > Accounts and select NVIDIA in a new session. Model access requirements and limits follow NVIDIA’s policy. NVIDIA is available in the My PC environment and is not provided in the Docker isolated environment.
Where can I find packages and Hermes scheduled jobs?
In the Packages window, view and manage skills, commands, MCP, and other items from supported providers. If Hermes is installed on your PC, you can view jobs and their results and perform actions such as running and pausing them in “Hermes scheduled jobs” in the same window. Hermes performs the actual scheduled job execution.
10Mobile and remote connections
What do I need to continue work on my PC from elsewhere?
Sign in to orke with your Google account on the PC. In Settings > Connect from another device, import an HTTPS certificate and enable external access. The default port is 48650. Open the copied HTTPS IP:port address on another device and approve with the same Google account. You must configure your router and firewall yourself; connections may fail behind CGNAT or on corporate networks. See the certificate and connection guide.
Your PC and orke must be running and connected to the internet. Even when you connect from a mobile device, work runs on that PC.
Where can I get the Android and iPhone apps?
Android app on Google Play and the iPhone app on the App Store are available. First enable remote access on your PC and prepare its public address. The mobile apps connect to your PC; they do not run agents independently on the phone. You can also connect through a web browser on another device.
